Car break down, how to you use the battery charger to save yourself?
How do you find yourself whether it is the first thing in the morning or as and when you go to your car and find it difficult to start the engine and hearing some clicking sound but engine still not started? It is a bad day, isn’t it? Well the only thing you could do is to use a pair of wire connectors or people called it “jumper” and connect a battery from another car to jump start your car. This could save you from buying a new brand battery, even you want to buy it but nobody can sell you in the middle of nowhere.
That sounds so scary, so better be sure to charge your car battery with a battery charger as the prevention is better than cure! It works on most things which including your car battery. It takes some time to charge a car battery from a battery charger, so be prepare to do this the night before you go to work on the next day.
Here are some of the step-by-step which comes in handy when charging a car battery using a battery charger:

Step 1
Do read the battery charger’s manual when first time using it. Some of the instruction may sound lengthy but it is good to learn from it. Furthermore some clauses even spell out that if you do not follow the correct way of doing things which might lead to the damage out of the warranty scope. Different battery charger may come in different setup, so make sure you know how to operate the battery charger before using it.
Step 2
As usual a simple way of charging the battery charger to the battery, connect the positive charging cable to the position post and negative charging cable to the negative post of the battery. Positive (or a “+” sign) normally is labeled with red cable and negative (or a “-“ sign) is black cable. Do aware that always connect the positive first before the negative one.
Step 3
Find something like “Volt/Amp selector” and turn it on to the level of the correct voltage suits your battery.
Step 4
Plug in the power supply of the battery charger into the wall plug.
Step 5
Set the “charging time” to determine how long needed to charge the battery. Use a ammeter to measure the battery charging rate to make sure the battery is not overly charge at the high rate. Some battery charger comes with the battery test monitor to check whether the battery is in working condition or not.
Step 6
When charging completed, do remember to turn off the power of the battery charger before removing the battery from the outlet. First remove the negative charging cable, follow by the positive charging cable.
